OH!! I love the recycled earth!!!! I am a cartographer (mapmaker!) by trade, and love anything and everything map related. If the Recycled Earth canvas was mine, I’d hang it in my otherwise boring office to inspire me daily!!! It’s also perfect because I’m the resident Green Queen, so it would have double significance to me! 🙂

Who doesn’t love free art, especially from someone so talented. It is so original, made from found objects which I LOVE and to me the color combinations are really perfect. I have someone special in mind that I would love to give it to.

This is so wonderfully colorful! I love maps that don’t make the US front and center! This would be a fantastic pick me up for our rather dull tan walls…

How beautiful! We are trying to put a nursery together (the baby’s only 8 months old, that’s not too late, right?), and I would love earth-themed art to remind our daughter to think big and see the entire planet as her home….

I was introduced to your art by Molly of My Favorite Things. I love the colors on this piece. I would put it on the red wall in my kitchen behind the dining table…or in my boys’ room. I think they’d like it as they learn about the different countries, and the world around them.
Thanks for the chance to win it!

What a neat painting. I’m looking for a good present for my sister’s boyfriend, but this is so awesome, I might have to keep it for myself and hang it near my computer desk!

I love this recycled earth piece! I found your website through etsy, looking for simple, beautiful collage art with birds to use for our baby’s nursery. After years of infertility and miscarriages we are finally expecting a baby on Christmas day. I’ve been so paranoid about potentially losing this baby that I haven’t really allowed myself to prepare. Now that I’m 36 weeks, I’m realizing that wow, we likely really will have a baby soon, and I am frantically trying to get a nursery together. I love, love, love this earth (and maps in general), and it would be amazing to be able to put it in our baby’s room!

I love that it is abstract-y and yet has so many lessons in it. It would be a great piece to teach with and also look really cool on a wall in a library or office or bedroom or family room.

I love this piece. Not only is it gorgeous, but the fact that it is centered on Africa carries special meaning for my family as our children were born in Ethiopia. They’re three now and we’re doing our best to raise them to be good little citizens of the world. This fantastic piece of art would tie their room together beautifully!

I love it. This would be the perfect addition to the blank wall in our mudroom… I’ve been looking for a long time for something to put there that would just make me happy every time I passed by. This would make me very happy!

I love this map. We just had a daughter and she and my son will have to share a room for the next few years. This would be perfect for their room, it combines my love of art (art therapy major in college), our dedication to green living and our love of world travel.
Your work is beautiful and inspiring. My children certainly inspire my art.

I.LOVE.THIS, and it resonates perfectly with the message we are teaching our two young daughters, to show compassion to the Earth and all who inhabit it. It is up to us to protect this planet, our home, the beautiful silent Earth that relies on us to speak on her behalf. Caring for the earth a key element of our family lives and this beautiful artwork conveys that. I would put this in our foyer to welcome us home every day!

I love art because it is so personalize and each piece can mean something different for every person that looks at it. For me, this is a great representation of what we need to be focusing on. Our family is in the process of adopting a child from Ethiopia and this would make a great centerpiece in our child’s nursery.

I am finally moving my youngest out of our room and “out into the world” as they say – okay, it’s the room next store, but still . . . I love this work of art and all the hope and gratitude it inspires.

I love this art! We are big recyclers/reusers at our home, even our 3-year-old knows what to recycle. We have a big (currently empty) kitchen wall that this art would be perfect for! Thanks for the opportunity!

My kids school is to in to recycle and taking care of the earth. They have taken it as their own. The latest is that we are not having plastic water bottles in our house. They point to our globe and say, remember the earth. They would love this! Thanks. Love your site.

i love art because it reminds me of one of the first lessons my mom taught me. she would come to my elementary and teach my class about art and how important it was. her passion for art still teaches me, and now her grandkids, to this day.
i would absolutely hang this in my baby son’s room so he could be transported to different worlds as he looks at such a wonderful piece of art!

I am in love with maps and globes and the earth. As a child, I felt sad that I might never see every spot on the earth. I’m doing my best to make sure that I see as many as possible, and when I am home I find pictures and maps of our world comforting and awe-inspiring. This is a beautiful picture and I would hang it right over my fireplace.

One of my favorite quotes by Emerson is “Things are pretty, graceful, rich, elegant, handsome, but, until they speak to the imagination, not yet beautiful.” That pretty much sums up how I feel about art.

Thank you for such a generous give-away.
I think all of the pieces are unique and inspiring (azul zinnia was made for my office I’m pretty sure) – but I love this earth piece in particular because the U.S. isn’t front-and-center as you often see, but rather Africa… not only can my girls be inspired to create beautiful art but they will be reminded that our home is not the center of the world.
This would look incredible in their art room, next to their own mini-masterpieces.

(oops! I commented on the next post by mistake)
I teach environmental science and would love to hang this at school to inspire my students. They are so creative and I often do projects that incorporate art with science. I’m also a mama and when school’s out I would bring it home to hang in my toddler’s room.
Why I love this piece: first of all, I like how the center perspective is on Africa… The magazine mosaic is truly ‘children inspired’ and gives me that ‘warm and fuzzy’ feeling. I’d love to see it in person. The colors make me smile.

Congratulations! I can only hope that one day my art is able to transcend its material as yours does. I would hang this in the group art room and LOVE the fact the United States is NOT in the middle of the world. Looking at Africia will help us remember that the borders we need to climb are the ones in our mind that separate us rather than unite us.
Thank you!!

I love this poster because of the centrality of Africa. Since I grew up there but now live in Australia and have best friends in the U.S., this poster unites us all in a beautiful way. I want to pass on my global worldview to my four daughters, and this poster can help them visualise distance while retaining a sense of unity.

I have traveled all over the earth and would love for my daughter to have the art to point out and talk about places I’ve been and to teach her about different countries and continents!

I am deeply drawn to pictures of the earth. I love the perspective. I once had a lovely handblown glass that resembled the earth, but sadly, it broke. Hand created gives it even a deeper perspective.
My three and a half year old daughter talks about space and the planets and pretends to bring us moon rocks–she recognizes the earth. She recently drew a picture and said, “Mama, I drew a map of Africa!” And it does indeed look like Africa. I love watching and listening to her exploration.
Your exquisite creation would fulfill us both! I would be so honored.
And if I am not the “winner”–my, I would love a print of the original.
Many thanks for the opportunity.

Stunning! I love that it captures both the beauty of this earth and a fabulous message. I also love that its focus is NOT the country where my family and I live, which for me enhances its message. If I win it will hang in our preschool story room!

I love this beautiful and vibrant piece. I was a Global Studies major in college and have been looking for a large vintage map or an original artwork to display in my house. Although it would look good in my son’s room, I would put it in my living room.
I love that it is recycled. For me, it is not just a pretty picture. It is also a message about our beautiful earth. It is really inspiring.

Our local children’s museum is preparing for a move to a larger, refurbished space in the spring. As exhibit coordinator, I’m definitely envisioning this in the art exhibit space–right above our “recycled art” creation area. Strikingly beautiful in it’s simplicity…love it!

This is such a beautiful piece of art. I love the contrasting colors, and how it describes our earth and not so typical based on the mixed media used. Fabulous. This would be hung in my sons room. Hes only 9 months now, but when he gets older it can help him learn and enjoy art (as i’m an artist myself).
